The Data Design Program at the Faculty of Commerce and Management aims to produce innovative entrepreneurs through education of a new breed of manager: the design manager capable of utilizing data and design in linking technology and business. The core of this endeavor is the distinctive curriculum structured to synthesize computer science and design thinking. The curriculum consists of design courses on UX, marketing, communication, etc., informatics and computer science/programming courses on AI, IoT, and big data, and workshops where students work in teams to tackle practical problems. In addition, the Data Design Program also offers courses and symposiums in collaboration with other universities and private firms. As part of the goal of educating talent successful on the global level, there are opportunities to study at universities overseas at the cutting-edge of innovation and design. This special program selects 30 students from among the second-year candidates. The transdisciplinary structure welcomes students enrolled in faculties other than the Faculty of Commerce and Management into the program. The Data Design Program is a three-year track starting in the second year and finishing in the fourth year. Students who successfully achieve the program requirements will be awarded a certificate of completion
